PAINTING BARE STEEL HULLS

BOAT HULL PREPARATION

1) Bring metal to a uniform bright finish by sandblasting with non-ferrous blast media such as clean silica sand or grind using coarse to medium emery cloth. Remove blast or sanding residue with a broom and clear air hose.

2) Solvent wash with Dewaxer. Apply 4-5 coats of Bottom Protect Primer.

3) Apply 2-3 coats of antifouling paint.
