PAINTING OUTBOARDS & OUTDRIVE UNITS

Outdrives are built out of aluminum. This presents compatibility issues with antifouling that contain cuprous-oxide. That is why we developed Kolor. It is safe to use on Aluminum. REMEMBER: Never apply an antifouling paint containing cuprous-oxide to aluminum.

PREPARATION

1) Clean thoroughly with Dewaxer. Sand the surface with 80-grit sandpaper or coarse emery cloth.

2) Apply 2-3 coats of Bottom Protect Primer.

3) Apply 2-3 coat of Kolor Bottom Paint.
